Campuhan Hike and Volcano Day
A day tour with Chankerk, Singaporean based painter, searching for good locations for painting outdoor class.
We start early in the morning by hiking the Campuhan ridge, a small hill west of Ubud that located between two rivers. The weather was fantastic for pictures. The green of the long grass was lighted well and the sky was saturated blue. We start the walk from the north side and end the walk at the shady and cool campuhan river.
We then continue the day by having our lunch at popular local warung that serve only nasi campur with chicken. A typical house meal for Balinese that come with rice, different piece of chicken part, mixed vegetable as well as the spicy sambal.
After lunch we headed to Batur volcano to see closely Mount Batur as well as Lake Batur. It was cloudy and almost raining but we managed to see the view before the fog covering it.
Our day to continue to traditional Panglipuran village then to the ancient Gunung Kawi. Before end back in Ubud we made a stop at the famous rice terraces.
Been working as a Bali tour guide and driver for over 15 years. Still very much enjoy my work as I meet many different and interesting people. Things on the road are changing all the time and I would like to share some of those that I show. ------
Taking pictures have been a hobby for me for many years. Now, I am still struggling to make that a hobby as a job. Wish me luck please.
