Photograph Bali’s Most Dramatic Hidden Terraces
This tour is designed to capture the beautiful lines, patterns, and layers of the rice terraces in Belimbing Village and surroundings in West Bali – one of the largest and least-visited terrace systems in Bali.
Located beneath the sacred Mt. Batukaru, the landscape offers perfect layered composition for landscape photography:
- Background: Majestic Mt. Batukaru
- Mid-ground: Morning mist drifting between coconut and palm trees
- Foreground: Graphic lines of the terraces, traditional farmer huts, and if we are lucky, farmers at work in the early morning light.
We will be on location for sunrise and the best morning light. After shooting sunrise for about two hours, we will move to another part of the terraces to shoot with the light behind us for vibrant greens and details. We will take a short break for coffee and light breakfast before heading to a local morning market for street and candid people photography on the way back.

ITINERARY
- 03:00 AM – Pick up from hotel (Ubud, Sanur, Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu)
- 05:30 AM – Arrive at the main viewpoint in Belimbing for blue hour & sunrise
- 05:30 – 08:00 AM – Sunrise & morning light photography session at the terraces
- 08:00 AM – Short break for coffee & light breakfast
- 09:00 – 09:45 AM – Stop at a local morning market in West Bali for street photography
- 12:00 – 01:00 PM – Arrive back at hotel
